2016 Holiday Home Tour- “Adding Glam to Christmas Decor”

Welcome and Merry Christmas! If you are coming over from El Peterson Design, I’m happy you’re here! I am SO excited to be partnered up with our sponsor,  Annie Selke , as well as so many talented bloggers (who are also some of my good friends) to share our GLAM decor with you!

If you all lived close to me, I would invite you in for some hot cocoa, holiday appetizers and a board game! But since that just isn’t feasible, I guess this virtual tour of our home will make you feel like you’ve been here, welcomed in this holiday season. 😉 You all hold a special place in my heart!

Last week, I showed you some of my Neutral Christmas Details along with a few purchase links. This week, I will be showing you more of the full room views and more purchase links! So, come on in!

We try to stay with natural elements outdoors on our porch… but of course I had to add a silky bow. 😉  This wreath was purchased from a local nursery, and these cute, glittery wood trees were a lucky TJMaxx find.

As you walk in, you see these beautiful ribbons and garland adorning the stairway. (I can never get good lighting at this angle… but nonetheless.) I mentioned earlier, this year I decided to pull in blush and champagne tones and I am LOVING the feminine touch it gives our house full of testosterone. 😉

I have been enamored with the smell of fresh garland all over our house. Costco did us right this year! {The above tiny nativity is linked in my previous post.}

Then a little turn into the dining room…

We placed this center piece of trees and lights (linked here) for our every day dining table, and then just added our place settings and these faux sheepskins!

As you come into the kitchen there may be some temptations… Christmas just isn’t Christmas without fresh holiday desserts and some bubbly, right?!

If it’s not cookies or cake, it’s gotta be hot cocoa… The smell of fresh baked goods and holiday spices will set the mood of comfort for your guests.

As you approach the tree between our kitchen and family room, you may find our little Frenchie, Remi, sniffing to see if there are any wrapped dog treats under our flocked King of Christmas tree. 😉

This is our first time having an artificial Christmas tree, and I have to say, King of Christmas has me sold with this 8′ Prince Flock!

And under the tree, fresh cinnamon sticks, pieces of cedar garland and hydrangeas were the topper theme for our champagne and gold wrapping paper. (All wrapping paper by Sugar Paper LA via Target.)

If you have kids in your life, (I happen to have just 4! ;)) notice the little Sweetie below in the stocking under the tree. These handmade stuffed animals make the perfect gift and go towards a great cause. They’re sold to help fund adoption, and my daughter is OBSESSED.

Moving into the family room…

We turned this space into a winter wonderland with some faux fur and sweater pillows partnered with this pinecone pillow from my favorite pillow shop! Porter Lane Home

Antler sheds always make things feel festive! And this pear candle by Flashpoint Candle just tops off the ambiance.

Our grab bag of mismatched stockings has been pieced together over a few years to incorporate different textures to fit our neutral color scheme. Shiny, furry, knitted, and quilted.

As we move upstairs, we don’t have a ton of excess space, but you will find little dabbles of Christmas here and there. If you are having house guests, don’t forget to check out my commonly overlooked tips for  Making Your Holiday Guests Feel Welcome .

This incredible knit throw blanket and pair of embroidered pillows are from Annie Selke, our amazing sponsor! These are high quality, and the perfect finishing touch to our winter bedroom.

Thank you so much for coming into my home! I hope you have enjoyed yourself and found some bits of inspiration along the way. Before you go, don’t forget to check out Summer’s (of “She Leaves a Little Sparkle”)Home Tour and the rest of my fellow bloggers’ Glam Christmas Tours (linked below)! I wish you all a wonderful Christmas season!
